So You Want to be a Shoutcaster?

The current state of our shoutcaster staff is explained here.

For those of you too stubborn for that, here's Compy's patented step by step guide to becoming a Low Elo streamer.

1) Make sure you can stream League of Legends games in HD quality (720p minimum).

2) Have an Own3d.tv account.

3) Have a Twitter account.

4) Record yourself shoutcasting a game via your Own3d.tv channel (if you don't know how to do this, let me tell you about this great thing called Google. It will save you SOO much time for the rest of your life).

5) Send a Direct Message (DM) via Twitter to @LowEloDave (aka Compy386), @IceDarkKnight and @AceTrainerEli with a link to your recording on your Own3d.tv account.

This will ensure that we can make sure you're not terrible. Be warned, you may go through all of these AGONIZING steps and still not be accepted. In that case, we suggest you practice. Very few people are wonderful the first time they shoutcast a game, yet people send us recordings of their first time shoutcasting and expect us to love it.

Sad Robot by Pornophonique

Sad Robot is the headline track from episode 43 of Low Elo. It's a mix of electronic and chip tune by German duo Pornophonique.

Wikipedia: Pornophonique is a German electronic duo from Darmstadt, Germany. It was formed by Kai Richter and Felix Heuser. They use a C64 and a Game Boy to produce their trademark 8-bit electronica sound. While guitarist and singer Richter also handles the C64, Heuser is responsible for the Game Boy sounds. They describe themselves as “Gameboy meets Lagerfeuer (campfire)”.

The Keeper by Bonobo

The title track for episode 42 is The Keeper by Bonobo featuring the voice of Andreya Triana. It's a simple, haunting tune that almost speaks to you.

Bonobo is the stage name of Simon Green, a British musician, producer and DJ.

Green has recorded and performed solo DJ sets under the name Barakas, and together with Robert Luis from Tru Thoughts as Nirobi and Barakas.

This particular track was recorded live at KEXP in 2010 but a more produced version with a similar but ultimately different sound can be found on the album "Black Sands".
