Low Elo Podcast Ep. 9 - Tons of Damage

In this episode we talk about the mindset at Hannover, what it will take to win and how the champions will get there. We also talk briefly about a recent post by Xypherous regarding off-builds, the state of the game and the disappointing impact that Fiora stands to have on the meta. We also cover the minor changes to Teemo, Olaf and Lux that were introduced in the most recent League of Legends patch.

I think, the recent patches did a lot of good changes as you explain. Lux's slow on her Singularity finally will be used i think and she gets even more pushed into the supporting style by even more revealing the map.
Olaf got a fair change on his ultimate, as Jeff already mentioned ( it was Jeff right? xD ).
And the announcement of buying wards is always good, sometimes its a bit disturbing but i think everyone can live with it. Best would be to create it as an option in the settings.
Another short question: Do the people with which you play have to fit any requirements? I would love to play with you once, but since i'm European, i only have a NA second character, which is around level 10. I would love to play a bit with you. My Main on Europe got 450 Wins, Level 30 logically.
Best Regards,
Cryout

We may organize a community play date int he future, but for now we just pick up fans from the chat room to fill in our missing slots.

No requirements to play with us but it might be tough to catch us if you're not hanging out in the chat on the NA servers :(.

Thanks for listening!

Great podcast once again. Various questions: if support champions aren't suppose to go AP, what items are they suppose to get? Can I be a support champion with heroes like Malazar, Sejuani, or Catelyn? AP heavy Catelyn works or fails?
Thanks for your time. Keep up the good work.

In regards to your support questions, I think you have to know what a support champ is. Long answer short, imo supports are usually champions with at least 1-3 abilities that directly benefit other teammates(survivability, dmg, etc). The good ones being like Sona, Soraka, and Taric, who have heals and other abilities that aid their teammates. So grabbing a champ like Malz or Cait and getting Heal or CV doesn't really make you a support imo. Champs with heavy cc like Maokai or Leona can do this but their ability to keep their partners alive is much less than the more orthodox supports, making carries an even worse options for the support role imo(unless you're going for that kill-lane setup LOLLL).

As far as items go. In the current setup, supports get little to no farm, so gold per 5 itmes are a MUST. You can build deathcap and zhonyas on sona or soraka, but besides that huge heal you're giving you're not really an asset to your team. Items that give auras and increase your own survivability are the best for supports; Shurelyias, Aegis, Shoulshroud, etc.

I don't think I answered your questions in order, but I hope this could clear things up for you. I've played support fairly often with the LowElo guys for several months now and they'll probably back me up on what I've said. :)

In the PvP.net client, click the middle button on the bottom right that looks like two word bubbles. Then click the button with a + on it which is for "Create or Join a Chat Room". Type in LowElo and click the magnifying glass. You're in!

To make the chat room always come up, click the button that looks like a gear in the upper right hand corner of the chat and put a check mark next to "Autojoin on Startup".

What is the name of the song/band played at the end of episode 9? I found it quite dug-worthy!
